Great looking theme. We are using Magento 1.6. Can you tell us if it will work with our store or we should upgrade it in order to use your great theme?

I would suggest to upgrade it to recent 1.7 version. But in case you are having problems with it our developers are planning to release 1.6 compatible version within next 1-2 months.

Question 2

We are using Magento 1.3.2.3. Is there any way to install the template on this version? If not, how can I migrate products and database customers to a new version of magento and use your template?

Thank you for your interest. Unfortunately it isn't possible to use theme on Magento CE 1.3. But i would suggest to upgrade your Magento store that will also guarantee that you have no security issues and performance issues.

In Q/A section, it has been stated that "Argento also comes with 1 month of free support and updates. After that period updates and supports are still available under 20$ per month." and in the pricing plan it is $25 per month. Which on is correct?

Really love your theme and we are interested to use for one of our new store. So we have 2 questions. The first one is how long will it take to install that theme at our store. Also we are interested to know if it will have and conflicts with your Firecheckout extension? We are looking for responsive checkout layout and were not able to find any yet.

Argento is compatible with Magento Enterprise v1.12 ?

Template was created in order to be easily used as a based for other designs. And that changes can be done easily. But if you want to make completely dark template then it will require more changes to css styles as usual.

We have about 900 Categories.

Also we do handle license via domain name.

We have one multistore magento installation. There are around 5 stores under this installation. Each store has a unique domain name. What is the licensing system for this steup?

You should simply activate theme at your main store and you will be able to use it under same activation with out any problems. We do limit number of licenses per installation not per domain.

4. The possibility - by choice - to display Customer rating default on the main product site.

#1 Rating review features will require creating separate extension and we have such plans already.

#2  Firecheckout isn't part of that theme.

Question 11

Your template looks really good and I'm thinking to buy. I like the popup window when a customer clicks on 'Add to cart'. Is it possible that you add a quantity box to this so that a custmomer can increase the purchased quantity directly and does not have to go to the shopping cart

Thank you for contacting us. We know about that issues. The main reason is that we have very complex layout. In next theme version speed grade will be improved. If you check ultimento theme then you will find that it isn't responsive and that it's cost more then our theme.

Interested in your theme but the support cost seems excessive, how about an option for support and/or an option for upgrades? At $25 a month it would cost $300 a year just to get updates to the theme. No time frame included with purchase price, would have thought that something like updates for the first year should be included especially given it is a new theme and will probably have several updates to fix any identified bugs.

Subscription - I am not going to pay 300 a year and not know what I am going to get for it.  I am happy to pay fair prices for updates as and when they come out, if I need them.  

Speed - It simply has to be faster

Thanks for the reply, granted the speed is better than I thought.

However I don't see how the pricing can compare to the ackage you pointed me to, ultimento.  I would hope to get about two years from a theme, to be safe from bugs with argento I would need to spend $725 over that time, ultimento would be $299, how is Argento a better option?

I am not interested in ultimento....it was you that pointed me to them, and I am certainy not asking you to tell me why Argentois better than it.  Basically I am asking you to justify your subscription sales model, why can you not offer a flat rate with free bug fixes and new features as optional extras?  If I would compare you to anything it would be avalache and I would be interested to hear why in the score of Magento would responsive be better than a full out seperate mobile theme.

We have decided to go with monthly support fee because from our experience most part of customers will need different type of help during entire period of using our product. 

Responsive theme minimize development and support cost. You should not create additional mobile or  even separate tablet theme.  But from initial development efforts it's much more complicated.

After trying your demo I really like the look and feel of your theme, my only gripe is the pricing, i would never pay a monthly subscription for any theme without knowing what you are actually getting for the outlay, there is no guarantee you will get any thing for months on end, you say our developers are constantly working on upgrades etc!! there is only so much you can add to a template without creating issues with speed etc, the more you add the slower the theme will become..... so i would never purchase anything under a subscription basis, Granted the theme is worth paying a hefty price for, but not the subscription is a no go for me,so i will not be purchasing the theme, no matter how good it is or how good you say your support is... i would be willing to pay $500 maybe more for the theme, but again i would not buy a monthly subscription, you may want to rethink your strategy as you are loosing customers by the day what i can see, there is already discussion about your subscription popping up everywhere.

Thank you for your interest. Frankly speaking it's quite difficult to understand why you afraid of subscription price. We made it really clear and open for our customers. You pay subscription for product updates and support. If you will stop paying subscription then you still can use our theme and your store will not be blocked.

So if you want to pay 500$ for theme then it means that you will get theme and support for 1.5 years.

We are also going to release new designs every 1-2 months so that will also increase value of our theme and will make subscription more reasonable.

But the main reason is that you can cancel subscription and still use our theme. You will not be just eligible for free support and updates.

P.S. New Argento design will be available within next 1-2 days.

Question 20

I just got the announcement that Argento 1.2.0 was released.  I uploaded the files to their correct locations on the server, but the Module section heading shows "Install or Reinstall TM_ArgentoArgento 1.1.2 (Data version 1.1.2)".

I ran the update, cleared all cache,logged out, etc.

Any ideas how to update to 1.2.0, am I missing a step?

You should not select installation but just click run and theme data will be upgraded. You can contact our support in case you have problem with that.
